2012 CITABRIA TRIP TO ALASKA

For those of you who don’t know, Roger has had this bug in his butt to fly our little Citabria airplane (a 2 seater) to Alaska while Travis & Alana are still living there.  Each night until we get to Edmonton, Alberta, we are seeing friends we had known in Botswana, and some of them we haven’t seen since we left Botswana in 1992.  After Edmonton we have two other stops with friends, and the remainder of the time we will either camp by the airplane when it works, or stay at hotels or lodges.  Roger did a lot of airplane work making sure things were in good shape, among many other things.  We also will do some flying in Alaska, and then help Travis & Alana get the final things packed, the truck loaded up, and head back down the Alaskan Highway, helping move them to Iowa City, IA, where Travis will start med school in the fall.  JOLENE
